Salam's life experiences, having lived both in the inner city and the suburbs, have greatly shaped his worldview. Although Salam typically prefers not to participate in poetry slams, he recently took part in one that showcased fierce competition. During the episode, he mesmerizes listeners with a performance of his competition-ending poem titled "Since I never truly wrote," a deeply moving piece dedicated to his beloved grandmother.
